The 6th Int. Conf. on Laser Probing (LAP2012) will be held on June 4th-8th, 2012 in
Paris 5ème, France in the center of the capital. The beautiful city of Paris is an
ideal backdrop for Laser Probing attendees. Paris features world-class hotels,
museums and cuisine. Paris is a real cultural gold mine. The meeting place,
l’Institut Henri Poincaré, is in the quartier Mouffetard and Sorbonne and is within walking distance of the quartier Latin and
Notre Dame de Paris. The Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre are all
just a small part of what makes Paris the most beautiful city in the world.
The Conference is aimed to highlight the state of the art in Laser Probing such as Optical
spectroscopy of atoms, molecules, clusters and atomic nuclei, analysis and
characterization of solid, fluid and gaseous materials and particles, reaction
chemistry and ultrafast phenomena, development of new laser-based technique
and/or lasers for probing. It is also aimed to reinforce the common ground and synergies among the different actors
in the field. The LAP conference series have a long history (recently: 2006
Vienna, Austria; 2008 Nagoya, Japan; 2010 Vancouver, BC, Canada), promoting
stimulating discussions and new collaborations. We would like to continue the
tradition and hope that you will join the conference according to this
inspiration.
